LaTeX/Word Templates:

  1. If you are using LaTeX2e (which we highly recommend), then for the format and outline of the camera-ready copy of your manuscript we ask you to download the templates from the Springer site:

    ftp://ftp.springer.de/pub/tex/latex/llncs/latex2e/ for the file llncs.cls

Please use running heads and numbering of definitions, equations, etc. per section.

    Sample (from Proc. FoIKS2000) download

  2. If you are using MS-Word (not recommended) download the instructions for authors from http://www.springer.de/comp/authors/index.html

In this case I would like to receive your permission that your paper may be reproduced using LaTeX2e. In particular, we will ask you to proofread the LaTex-version.

Length of final version:

We are interested to obtain an excellent proceedings-volume. So please read the suggestions you find in the reviews carefully and revise your paper according to these suggestions. Paper length (independent from long or short presentation) should not exceed 18 pages. However, we would like you to estimate how many pages you will need, if you carefully follow the suggestions made by the reviewers and to inform us about this estimate. We will then decide, whether we can give you additional pages if needed.

Sending your Paper:

Please confirm immediately the format, in which you want to send your final version.

Please send your files (LaTeX-source file or doc-file, ps-file, any additional style or bibtex files that are needed to process your paper) as a single attachment (tar-file) to k.d.schewe@massey.ac.nz and m.kirchberg@massey.ac.nz. Your mail should arrive no later than November 30 (November 23, if you are using MS-Word). As Springer-Verlag needs some time to produce the LNCS-volume, these are FIRM deadlines.
